There are two special trackbacks features that nobody has discovered on their own yet so I'll just mention them briefly.
First, try viewing a message's trackback page on its own. Meaning, add "/trackback" to the end of a message's url. Here's a working example. Look familiar? It should. That's a valid RSS feed of the trackback pings received by your message. You can subscribe to that in the RSS aggregator of your choice, if you'd like to know who's pinging your message. (Possibly not a very interesting long-term subscription, since it's unlikely to change very often, but it might be useful if you've posted a particularly popular message and you want to stay on top of it.)
Second, you can delete any ping sent to any of your messages. Just add /edit to the message's trackback url, and you'll get a very simple form for deleting any of the message's pings.
