Welcome to the Free-Conversant support site!

You're going to have questions about your Conversant site. This software and service are a new way of doing things, one that may seem a litlte confusing when you first start out.

This is the place to find the answers (or help us create them!). If you don't find the answer here, then post a new question, and it will be answered promptly.

Non-Members (Guests)

If you're just looking for information, you don't have to be a member of this site. You're quite welcome to just browse through the archives, to see if your question has already been answered.

Membership Options

If you want to post a question, or (even better) answer somebody else's question, or (best of all) make a feature request, you need to be a member of the site. Becoming a member is very easy! All you need to do is fill out the short sign-up form.

Support Via the Web

As a member, you can search the database for questions and answers, and post new messages for all to read. The interface is very easy to use.

Please Note: Your username and password on this site are not tied to your username or password on any other site in the Free-Conversant network. That means that if you change your password on your site, or in any other site that you've joined, you won't have changed it here and will still need to use the old password.

To change your password on this site, visit the Support site's Member Prefs area.

Support Via Email

This support site is tied directly to a mailing list. Joining the list gives you automatic membership in this web site also, and is the easiest way to sign up. If you want to follow the conversations on this site, actively (a good idea for new users), then subscribe to the site via email.

To subscribe to this site, just send a message to the subscription address. You'll be sent a confirmation via email, including instructions for posting messages to the site.

Support Via News

Want to use your newsreader to access this site? Just make sure that you're a member, then you'll be able to access this site in your news client by pointing it to the server

You'll have to set up your news client to use your login information, of course.
